Welcome
President’s Message
If you’re a member, are you getting all you can from your membership? If you aren’t a member, what are you missing? There’s something for everyone to gain from membership in the Association of Fundraising Professionals – at all levels of your career.
Here are a few tips to ensure you’re making the most of your Association:
- Volunteer – Depending on your area of interest – communications/marketing, event planning, professional development, mentoring, membership, your local AFP chapter can use your time and talent. We’re a volunteer-based organization and are only as good as those willing to help!
- Attend a program – Monthly, AFP California Capital Chapter hosts luncheons and webinar programs discussing current trends and strategies to enhance your skills as a fundraising professional.
- Reach out! – As an active member, you have access to the current California Capital Chapter roster. Log on to the “Members Only” section of our website and reach out to your fellow members for ideas and tips on best practices and problem solving.
- Take a virtual trip – Visit the AFP International website at www.afpnet.org and see the many wonderful tools at your disposal. Whether you’re a new professional in need of a tool-kit or a seasoned professional looking for your next big move, the International website provides tangible resources for members to utilize in their own lives and organizations.
If you have any questions about how you can get more involved with your California Capital Chapter, e-mail info@afpccc.org.
I hope to see you soon!
Sincerely,
Susan Willson
