Dear Members and Fundraising Professionals,

During these challenging economic times, it takes creativity, perseverance and patience to raise the funds needed to fulfill our organizations’ missions and make our world a better place.

In addition to the many resources available through AFP, the Ethics Resource Center has just released its first National Nonprofit Ethics Survey for 2007. For an inside view of nonprofit ethics from the perspective of nonprofit employees, select the “Resource Library” navigation tab in the left margin. You will find this information interesting and even validating for your organization’s best practices.

As a member of AFP, you have the support of a wide network of professionals whenever you may need it. And, whether you’re new to the profession or a seasoned professional, our goal is to provide you with the most current information on fundraising trends and expert guidance, offer you many opportunities to meet and network with others, and deliver quality educational programs to advance your organization and your career.

If you are not a member of AFP and are interested in finding out more about the benefits of being part of a 30,000-member strong international association, please visit the “How to Join” area of this site. Locally, you join with more than 175 members who benefit from the worldwide knowledge and expertise of AFP professionals across the globe.

If you would like to review the chapter's 2007 Form 990 please click on the link below.

Your ideas, feedback, criticism, praise and comments are welcomed and encouraged. Please feel free to contact us at info@afpccc.org – your involvement makes all the difference.

HIGHEST CHAPTER RECOGNITION 4 YEARS IN A ROW! Thanks to the commitment of your volunteer Board members and each member's support and participation, AFP California Capital Chapter has again received the "10 Star" Award from AFP International. The Chapter Ten Star Award honors those chapters that align their objectives with AFP’s current strategic plan and encourages them to perform specific activities designed to increase professionalism within the profession, as well as public awareness of the importance of philanthropy. To view your chapter's award please go to the Resource Library link.

WHAT'S NEW? On 08-08-08, you can flex your philanthropic muscles as world athletes gather at the Olympics for Opening Ceremonies. How? By attending AFP Monterey Bay Chapter's annual Academy of Fundraising. Please click on the Calendar of Events navigation tab on the left for more information.
