The AFP Chamberlain Scholarship/Ernest W. Wood Scholarship for Professional Development exists to provide AFPCCC members with an opportunity to attend their first AFP International Conference on Fundraising. The Chapter chooses one (1) recipient annually.  The recipient will receive registration to the conference at a cost of $10, funded from the AFP Chamberlain Scholars Program, and the AFP California Capital Chapter will reimburse up to $500 in expenses related to the conference including travel, lodging and/or meals.

The funds from AFP Foundation are used towards registration costs at the time of registration and AFP California Capital Chapter funds offset travel and lodging costs.  Funds from the AFP California Capital Chapter are provided as a reimbursement upon return from the conference.  The scholarship is intended for an individual who has never attended the International Conference on Fundraising and who can demonstrate the benefit of attendance in regards to their professional development goals.

The 2019 International Conference on Fundraising will be held March 29-31, 2020 in Baltimore, MD.  An attendee can expect to spend approximately $1,750 – $2,000 for registration, airfare, lodging, and food.  The attendee must be prepared to fund costs not covered by the scholarship through their employer or personal resources.
